As the day aged, some threatening rain clouds started appearing.
Modern street art is common in many villages. This one depicts a pilgrim.
Second breakfast: cheesecake and cafe con leche. Five Euros.
In neatly every village along the Way, I discover unique and artful doors.

Up we go. Pilgrims and a tractor share the road ahead.
Getting darker. Walking faster.

Going up an especially taxing hill, this sign provides primise of refreshment at the peak.
Hilltop rest stop with an enterprising snack and pilgrim knick-knack dealer.
Crossing over into a new province  — Castilla y Leon. Goodbye lovely La Rioja!

Pilgrim Wisdom: never become so busy with accomplishing a goal (such as a day’s hike) that you neglect the beauty around you.
